My heart feels where my hands need reaching
to touch the holy fingertips of God,
as He, with outstretched arms beseeching,
quietly whispers, “I am always here.”

Yes, He knows my need to feel cradled
in the hollow of His tender embrace.
As I, with His acceptance, snuggled
humbly, He tenderly whispers, “Abide.”

Stilling calmness, a comforting balm,
He wraps around me with merciful arms.
My voice quivers in resounding psalm
of praise as He whispers, “Be not afraid.”

Assuring hope, anchoring my heart,
I raise my eyes to meet his loving gaze.
Misty eyes blur my vision, tears start,
I hear Him softly whisper, “My child.”

Verily, the power of His love
binds my heart, might, mind, and spirit. Always
aware, His touch descends like a dove.
Light fills my soul as He whispers, “I know.”
Into a garden of prayer, I see
Him kneeling. Reverently pleading
for all humankind. In agony
nigh to death, He whispers, “Sanctify them.”

Oh, how my heart feels! Scars in His hands
I, with gratitude touch, as He smiles.
The carpenter of Galilee stands,
His hands outstretched, He whispers, “Come, follow.”

Reflecting on His mercy and grace
causes my knees to quake, my head to raise.
My Savior, Redeemer, Lord, I face
to hear Him lovingly whisper, “My peace.”

This is the best you have written to date! It should be published. I would give you a hug if it wasn’t for Covid! But I don’t think that is what you are looking for. Remember you are loved on this side of the veil as well as beyond it.
